Tigers Fall in Nashville to No. 22 Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Memphis women's tennis team went on the road Saturday and dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 22 Vanderbilt.
The Tigers (3-2) looked good to open doubles play with a 6-2 win on court three from Miriam Grosmann and Leonie Moeller, but the Commodores responded with a 6-3 win from their No. 17-ranked top tandem and clinched 6-4 on court two.
In singles, Vanderbilt swept at the second, third and fifth positions to earn the victory. Emily Meyer had pushed her match to a third set after battling 3-6, 6-3 through two before it went unfinished.

The Tigers are back at Leftwich Tennis Center Tuesday for a 1 p.m. match with Austin Peay.
