Mykhailets Named to All-Conference Team for Second Straight Year

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's tennis team's Sofiia Mykhailets was named to the American Conference's All-Conference Team for the second straight season, the conference announced Tuesday.
Mykhailets, a sophomore from Dnipro, Ukraine followed up her standout freshman season with an even more impressive sophomore campaign.
Playing at line one singles in every match for the Tigers, Mykhailets posted a 10-3 record including a seven-match win streak from late February to early April, all coming in straight sets. Her 10 wins at the number one position are the third most of any player in the conference.
Mykhailets claimed big wins for Memphis all season, including a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5) victory at Wake Forest, a 6-2, 6-3 victory in the Tigers upset of No. 52 Columbia and wins over several NCAA Tournament teams such as ETSU, UCSB, Denver and Xavier.
