Mar 17, 2023 | Baseball
HAMMOND, La. – The University of Memphis baseball team defeated Southeastern Louisiana, 4-3, in a back-and-forth game at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field on Friday night. Left-hander JT Durham pitched three perfect innings of relief to earn the win and Dalton Kendrick pitched the ninth to pick up his fifth save of the year.
With the win, Memphis improved to 10-8 on the season and won its second in a row. The Lions dropped to 11-7 on the season with the loss.
"I thought our offense did a great job battling all night," Durham said. "I came in and just tried to attack the zone and my defense made some great plays behind me. I just tried to get it to the next guy. I knew DK was going to come in for the ninth and he shut it down for us."
