MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis softball team will travel this weekend, February 24-26, to participate in the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, TN. The Tigers (2-8), coming off a 2-3 weekend, look to add more to the win column this season.
Memphis will take on Eastern Illinois (5-5) at 10 a.m. and Akron (3-2) at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Followed by games against Western Michigan (3-2) at 12:30 p.m. and UNLV (6-5) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will finish up the weekend with a game against Chattanooga (3-2) at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
"We set some goals for hitters and pitchers for the games, I thought we did a good job executing those goals last weekend." said head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro. "We still need to continue to get better each game. That being said we are improving and most importantly competing."
