Tigers Set Program Record with 21 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball program recently had 21 student-athletes named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced.
The 2025-26 academic year marks the second in a row where a program record number of honorees were announced, with this season's 21 honorees surpassing the previous record of 15, set in 2024-25.
"Academic excellence is our second core value, so I am very proud of this team for taking care of their business in the classroom last semester," head coach Trena Prater said. "They know that I am very invested in our academic success. I am thankful for our academic advisor Meredith McCall and our mentor/learning specialist Maya Robertson, who supported our team and provided the resources that our girls needed to excel on the road and at home while in-season. I love breaking records on and off the field, so I hope these accolades trampoline us into another record-breaking season."
Among the Tigers to earn the honor, 10 are multi-time honorees who were also named All-America Scholar-Athletes in 2024-25. The list also features Kennedy Semien, who is the only Tiger on this season's list to have garnered recognition for the third time in her career.
As a team, the Tigers earned a 3.638 GPA during the spring semester, with six perfect GPAs and 23 Tigers being named to the Tiger 3.0 Club.
To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes from an NFCA member institution must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
