The 2027 season will be Memphis’ 21st season in the $1.7 million Tigers Softball Complex on the University’s Park Avenue Campus, which is located on the corner of Park Avenue and Getwell Road.
The 2026 season was Memphis' first ticketed season in program history, bringing in a record attendance of 551 for a March 18 matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners. During the 2026 season, Tigers Softball Complex had additional seating in the form of a temporary bleacher beyond the wall in left center, which was joined by similar seating in the right-center area to accommodate additional fans for midweek games against Oklahoma and Ole Miss, along with the beginning of American Conference play against South Florida and East Carolina.
The stadium features a natural grass outfield and boasts spacious locker rooms and dugouts for the home and visiting teams. The dimensions of the 275-seat stadium are 200 feet to the right and left fields and 220 feet to center. Bullpens are located next to each dugout. The stadium’s press box consists of two broadcast booths and two workroom areas. High-speed wireless Internet is available for the working media.
Spacious locker rooms behind the dugouts were completed prior to the 2009 season. The bullpens were upgraded before the 2010 season with field turf.
On Nov. 16, 2012, Memphis announced a $2.6 million gift from the Helen and Jabie Hardin Charitable Trust (Foundation) for facility construction and development in support of various women’s athletics programs. Over $1 million of the donation went toward a 10,000-square-foot softball complex addition that included coaches’ offices, a coaches’ locker room, team meeting room, training room, indoor hitting and pitching area, laundry room and storage. The renovations were completed in 2016.
In January 2016, the Tigers opened an indoor facility that completed a nearly $1 million project which provides more than 5,000 square feet for training. The center houses the coaching staff’s offices, a team lounge and indoor space for two hitting/pitching cages.
Memphis officially dedicated its softball stadium April 7, 2007, before the final contest of a three-game series with Tulsa. University of Memphis President Dr. Shirley C. Raines threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Kimmi Hayden in front of a full house.
The Tigers began playing in the new facility on Mar. 24, 2007, in a three-game series against Houston.
In 20 seasons, Memphis has played 462 home games in the stadium and owns a 233-229 record. The Tigers won a program-record 22 home games in 2018. In the 2020 season, the UofM had a 9-1 record in games played at the Tigers Softball Complex before the campaign came to an end due to the pandemic.
The Tigers Softball Complex is a tobacco-, alcohol-, firearm- and pet-free facility.
