JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Memphis softball team fell in their final game of the JU/UNF Invitational, dropping the game 10-0 to Penn State. The Tigers move to 2-8 on the season after picking up their first wins earlier this weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Penn State struck first as Lexi Black hit a 2 RBI double down the left field line to make the score 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning.
• The Nittany Lions added a large lead in the bottom of the third inning, scoring seven runs to put them up 10-0.
• The Tigers added their first hit of the game in the top of the fifth inning as Kendall Lee singled to center field but were unable to overcome the deficit for the win.

• Hallie Siems recorded two strikeouts.
• Lee recorded a hit in the fifth inning, keeping Penn State from a no-hitter.

• The Tigers will compete in the Frost Classic next weekend, February 24-26 in Chattanooga, TN. Memphis will take on Eastern Illinois, Akron, Western Michigan, UNLV and Chattanooga.Â
