MEMPHIS, Tenn.- The Memphis Tiger softball team will split their final week of non-conference play when they host the Rebels of Ole Miss on Tuesday evening before making the trip to North Alabama for a Thursday afternoon matchup.
Memphis (16-32, 2-13 AAC) is coming off a rough weekend at Wichita State. The Shocker offense could not be stopped as they went on to accumulate 43 runs over the three-game series. Camryn Wineinger led the way for the Tigers going 3-5 from the plate with an RBI and an extra-base hit. Along with Wineinger, Gracie Morton, Taylor Smrt, Alyssa Dean and Kendall Lee all picked up multiple hits against Wichita State.
For the season, Morton leads the team with a .405 batting average with an AAC second-best 62 hits while scoring 31 times. Wineinger and Lee have both been consistent from the plate this season, both hitting over .300 and have combined for 78 hits.
In the pitcher's circle, Hallie Siems leads the crew with a 3.70 ERA and eight wins while striking out a team-high 105 batters this season.
Ole Miss (33-14, 8-10 SEC), who clocked in at No. 27 in the most recent NCAA RPI rankings, is currently on a four-game win streak after they swept South Carolina in Columbia this past weekend.
