Tigers Place Sixth at Season-Opening Hoosier Collegiate Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Memphis men's golf team concluded play the 2021-22 season-opening Hoosier Collegiate Invitational at the Pfau Course in Bloomington, Ind. on Monday. The Tigers finished sixth out of 15 teams with a 54-hole score of 886 (+34).
KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Tyran Snyders led the Tigers at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational, tying for 11th place with a total score of 217 (+4).
• Snyders was consistent all weekend, carding rounds of 74-70-73 to record the second top-20 finish of his Memphis career.
• Esteban Vazquez tied for 13th place at the event with a three-round score of 218 (+5).
• Vazquez's finish earned him his first career top-20 as a Tiger with rounds of 71-69-78.
• Ryan van der Klis (81) finished his first tournament as a Tiger with a score of 225 (+12), tying him for 36th place.
• Also playing his first tournament for Memphis, Sergio Cavestany (76) tied for 42nd place with a total of 227 (+14).
• Both Mitchell Bowlin (82) and James Morgan (78) tied for 57th place with scores of 235 (+22). Morgan was playing as an individual this weekend in Bloomington.
