Wang Claims First Individual Title, Team Finishes Tied for Fourth at Steelwood Collegiate

LOXLEY, Ala. - The University of Memphis men's golf team finished off the fall season on a high note, claiming a share of fourth place at the Steelwood Collegiate while Yixiang Wang took the top individual spot – his first individual title of his collegiate career.

Memphis, who finished tied for fourth place with host South Alabama, finished two under par in the shortened tournament after inclement weather moved into the area. The Tigers beat out 23^rd ranked Wake Forest and 33^rd ranked Purdue in the tournament.

Wang, who opened the tournament with a 66 round one score, finished the weekend seven under par to claim the top individual spot. Cian O'Connor finished the weekend shooting an even par while Tobey Kim and Diego Lourenco finished and two and four over par, respectively. Christian Morneau rounded out the rest of the team at five over par.
