COLUMBUS, Ga. – University of Memphis men's golf athlete Yixiang Wang has been named to the 2025-26 Haskins Award by Stifel Final Fall watch list, the Haskins Foundation announced Tuesday morning.
Beginning in 1971, the Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top male U.S. collegiate golfer as voted on by only college golfers, coaches and members of the golf media. Past winners of the Haskins Award presented by Stifel have captured 33 major championships and more than 400 professional tournaments around the world. Named in honor of Fred Haskins, the award is managed by the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top male golfer at the end of the season and to match the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top female Division I collegiate golfer.
Wang, who has dominated the courses during the fall season, claimed the individual champion crown at the Steelwood Collegiate where he finished the tournament seven under par. The junior out of Dailan, China helped Memphis to a team title at the Quail Valley Collegiate where he tied for career best three-round score (203). He also shot a career-low (63) in the opening round of the tournament in route to a share of second place in individual play.
Wang also collected a share of fourth place (138) at the Cullan Brown Invitational, tied for 14th (212) at the Bearcat Invitational and tied for third place (204) in the team's season-opening weekend at the Argent Financial Classic.
Wang was the only men's golfer from the American Conference to be named to the watch list.
