Round Three Results

CARLSBAD, Calif. — The University of Memphis men's golf team saw its historic run at the NCAA Championships come to an end Sunday at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.

The Tigers finished the three-day stretch at 23-over-par 887 after carding a 5-over-par 293 in Round 3. Top-ranked Auburn led the field, finishing the weekend at 22-under-par 842 to secure its spot as one of the 15 teams advancing to Monday's fourth round.

For the second consecutive day, Yixiang Wang fired a 4-under-par 68 to bring his tournament total to 1-under-par 215, placing him in a tie for 32nd. Wang was dominant in his final round, recording five birdies against just a single bogey.

Tobey Kim shot a 2-over-par 74 on Sunday to finish tied for 58th. Christian Morneau carded a 4-over-par 76 for a three-round total of 10-over-par 226, earning a share of 127th place.

Cian O'Connor also turned in a 4-over-par 76 to finish at 16-over-par 232, while Diego Lourenco rounded out the Tigers' lineup with a 3-over-par 75 for a total of 17-over-par 233.
