MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's golf team opened the 2021-22 season at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational at the Pfau Course in Bloomington, Ind. The Tigers fired teams round scores of 295 (+11) and 283 (-1) to finish the day in fourth place after 36 holes.
KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Esteban Vazquez led the charge for Memphis on Sunday, carding rounds of 71 (E) and 69 (-2) to finish the day in a tie for third place with a total of 140 (-2).
• Vazuez finished the day with a flurry, shooting a 32 (-3) on the back nine to rocket up the leaderboard.
• Both Ryan van der Klis and Tyran Snyders ended the first 36 holes of the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational in a tie for 14th place with scores of 144 (+2).
• Each player carded matching scores of 74-70 on the day to finish inside the top-15.
• Sergio Cavestany (77-74) is tied for 38th place with a score of 151 (+9), while Mitchell Bowlin (76-77) is tied for 49th with a total of 153 (+11).
