VERO BEACH, Fla. – The University of Memphis men's golf team began competition at the Quail Valley/Jake Owen Collegiate on Sunday at Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach, Fla., carding rounds of 281-287 for a 36-hole total of 568 (-8) to sit in a tie for ninth in the 16-team field.

KEY MOMENTS
• Tyran Snyders came out firing on Sunday, carding a first-round 68 (-4) and then a 72 (E) to finish the day in a tie for 16^th with a total of 140 (-4).
• Sitting just two strokes behind his teammate with a score of 142 (-2) in a tie for 30^th, Esteban Vazquez shot a pair of 71 (-1) on the day.
• Mitchell Bowlin is tied for 50^th after 36 holes with a total of 143 (-1). After a first round 70 (-2), Bowlin carded a 73 (+1).
• Both James Morgan (72-73) and Ryan van der Klis (74-71) are tied for 50^th after two rounds with scores of 145 (+1).
