Tigers Host Nationally Ranked Oklahoma State on Monday

Memphis will recognize head coach Natalie Poole's 500th win during pregame
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team prepares to take on No. 14/18 Oklahoma State on Monday at 5 p.m. at Tigers Softball Complex. Included in Monday's game is the midweek deal of $1 hotdogs for fans. In addition, fans are encouraged to arrive early to help celebrate head coach Natalie Poole's 500th career win. The Tigers will hold a ceremony prior to first pitch to commemorate the occasion.
Game 28
Memphis (15-12) vs. Oklahoma State (20-7)

Memphis (15-12) enters the week having won three of five games in the Tiger Classic over the weekend. Most notably, Saturday will go down in Memphis softball history as the first time the Tigers have defeated a team ranked in the top-10. Memphis handed Texas Tech just its second loss of the season, combining eight strikeouts from the Tiger pitching corps with a pair of home runs from Ashley Threatt and Regan Hadley.
At the plate, Delaney Smith enjoyed a successful weekend, picking up eight hits in 17 at bats, including her second double and her third triple of the season. In the circle, Memphis pitchers combined for 39 strikeouts, led by Mariah Nichols' 15 Ks in three outings.
Over the course of the season, the Tigers have been led by Baylee Smith, who carries a .386 batting average. The Henderson, Tennessee native has put together a diverse stat sheet, with six doubles, three triples, four home runs and seven stolen bases.
Memphis' pitching staff maintains an ERA of 2.97 and has a total of 130 strikeouts. Nichols leads the team with 74.1 innings tossed and 55 Ks.

Samantha Clakley pitched a complete game shutout over the Bulldogs, while the offense put up eight runs on nine hits. From there, the weekend ground to a halt as the Cowgirls fell to Ole Miss in back-to-back outings.
On the year, Chyenne Factor leads the way with a .463 batting average. Oklahoma State boasts power up and down the lineup, as the Cowgirls have launched 41 home runs off the bats of nine different players. Samantha Show leads the team with eight bombs.
Memphis and Oklahoma State have never faced each other on the softball field. In program history, the Tigers have faced Big 12 opponents just seven times, with three wins over Texas Tech.
