The Tigers look to gain momentum as the end of the season nears
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team remains at home this weekend as it welcomes American Athletic Conference opponent UConn. The Tigers begin this series at Tigers Softball Complex Friday at 5:00 p.m., with games at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Friday's game is the Tigers' Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer game.

- Kyler Trosclair Klatt collected two hits against the Racers. Trosclair Klatt now has 237 hits in her career, which ties the record for most in a Tiger career, set by Lindsay Crowdus last season.
- Trosclair Klatt and Baylee Smith drove in one and two runs, respectively, against Murray State. The pair has 33 RBIs each, placing them in a tie for the sixth most RBIs in a season in Memphis history.
- Molly Smith earned the win after coming into the game in relief, capturing her 19th win of the season, and the 44th of her career. Her 44 career wins in the circle is a program record.
- Memphis is hitting .316 as a team, collecting 387 hits. The Tigers are on pace to have the highest team batting average in school history.
- Delaney Smith hit a career-high four hits in as many at bats against Murray State. The freshman outfielder is batting .369 on the season, the third highest on the team.
- Memphis won its fifth one-run game. The Tigers are 5-3 in games decided by one run.
- The Tigers are 5-6 against the Huskies all-time, but have won four of the last six matchups.

- The Huskies come to Memphis carrying a 16-28 (2-10 AAC) record after winning its midweek game against Central Connecticut.
- UConn's leading batter is Briana Marcelino, who bats .295 on the year. Marcelino has a team-high 10 doubles.
