Baylor Takes Series Finale Sunday

Memphis continues home stand with Mississippi State Wednesday
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Baylor jumped on top early and never looked back, beating Memphis 7-0 Sunday at FedExPark. The Tigers (12-25) will continue their season long homestand by hosting Mississippi State Wednesday at AutoZone Park.
Memphis scratched out just two hits in the decisive Sunday game against Baylor. The Tigers had just six total base runners in the entire game.
Cale Hennemann reached base twice, with a single and a walk. Ben Brooks had the Tigers only other hit, a single in the ninth inning.
Baylor grabbed the lead with a run in the third inning but Alex Hicks did well to limit the damage getting out of a bases loaded jam. The Bears used three singles to get the run across.
The Bears added two more runs in the fourth inning to go up 3-0. Danny Denz came out of the bullpen to get Memphis out of the jam.
Baylor scored one more run in the sixth and three more in the seventh inning to go up 7-0.
Memphis used six different pitchers in the game. Blake Bennett pitched the final two innings without allowing a run.
