Tigers continue league play at Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Conference action continues for the No. 45 Memphis men's tennis team, as the Tigers travel to No. 34 Tulane for a Wednesday afternoon match.
First serve from City Park Pepsi Tennis Center in New Orleans is set for 1 p.m.
Memphis (6-4) split a pair of matches last weekend at No. 32 Baylor and SMU. After a 4-1 setback in Waco, the Tigers bounced back with a 4-1 conference win against the Mustangs.
Senior Andrew Watson, who was named the league's men's tennis player of the week, turned in a pair of singles wins in straight-set fashion to run his record to 6-3 to start the spring.
Senior Ryan Peniston, who ranks No. 63 in singles play, enters Wednesday the owner of four consecutive singles wins, while junior Felix Rauch seeks to extend his team-best five-match win streak.
The Green Wave (6-4) dropped a 4-1 decision in their last outing at Vanderbilt. In singles play, Tulane senior Constantin Schmitz ranks No. 15, while sophomore Ewan Moore stands at No. 77. Duo Tyler Schick and Luis Erlenbusch, who rank 80th nationally, lead the Green Wave doubles attack.
Memphis and Tulane have split the all-time series, 7-7. The Green Wave have claimed the last two meetings, including a hard-fought 4-3 outcome last season, while the Tigers have won four of the previous six contests.
