Road Tripping Tigers Roll on to North Florida

Memphis continues its six-day road trip with weekend series at UNF
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The road tripping Memphis Tigers keep rolling! Following a narrow loss at No. 5 Auburn on Wednesday, the University of Memphis baseball team will take on North Florida for a three-game series this weekend in Jacksonville.

The Tigers (6-11) play North Florida (8-11) for the first time in program history. The Ospreys are in their 13th season of Division I baseball after moving to the ASUN Conference in 2006.
Memphis continues it's grueling road swing in the month of March. The Tigers played their first five games in March on the road and are now in the midst of playing 7-of-8 away from home. In all, Memphis starts the month with 12-of-16 on the road.
The Tigers head into the weekend in search of their first series win since Opening Weekend against Western Kentucky.
Memphis had yet another close loss, 5-4 to No. 5 Auburn, on Wednesday. The Tigers now have eight losses by two runs or less. Memphis is 3-8 in games decided by one or two runs.
North Florida is led by outfielder Tanner Murphy, who is batting .316 with five doubles a triple and three home runs. He leads the Ospreys with 16 RBI and 11 runs scored.
The Tigers will return home briefly to host Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at FedExPark. Memphis will then head back on the road to Houston for the American Athletic Conference opener.
