Memphis and Murray State will play on Wednesday, a day later than originally scheduled due to the weather

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team will resume play on Wednesday after a week off of action, taking on Murray State in a non-conference midweek doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. Memphis has been off since the single game against No. 22/25 Ole Miss on April 12.

Quick Hitters
• Memphis comes into the midweek match-up against Murray State with a 23-19 overall record. The Tigers have fell victim in their last three contests including a 4-0 setback to No. 22/25 Ole Miss last week.
• Senior outfielder Lindsay Crowdus is the player to watch as she leads the NCAA with a .496 batting average. She also is just three hits shy of the nation's leader with 68.
• After going 3-for-3 against Ole Miss last week, Crowdus was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. It was the fourth time this season she had been recognized and the 10th Tiger to be selected this year.
• Overall against Murray State, Memphis is 5-3. The Tigers won the first four meetings and are 1-3 since.

A Look At The Competition
• Murray State comes into the Wednesday doubleheader with a 29-14 overall record, 10-2 record at home, and 6-5 mark in Ohio Valley Conference play.
• Four members of the Racer squad are hitting over .300 and two are over .400.
• Jessica Twaddle and Brenna Finck lead the team with .414 and .400 batting averages, respectively. The two combine for 113 of the team's 361 hits and Twaddle leads the Racers with 10 home runs and 34 RBI.
• In all, Twaddle has hit 25 extra base hits this season.
• The Racers pitching staff has a combined ERA of 3.19 and is led by Mason Robinson.
• Robinson owns a 1.90 ERA and a 19-7 overall record in a team-high 162.0 innings pitched. She has struck out 89 batters this season and her opponents are hitting .243 off of her.
• Kara Amundson is the head coach of the Racers.
