Softball Takes to North Carolina for AAC Road Series

Tigers have won their last two Conference series
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After nearly a week off from games, the Memphis Tigers return to action on Tuesday afternoon, as the team travels to Conway, Arkansas, to take on the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears, before then traveling to Greenville, North Carolina, for a three-game American Athletic Conference series against East Carolina.

• Memphis will look for its third consecutive American Athletic Conference series win this weekend. The Tigers ended last season with a 2-1 series winat USF, before winning the opening series of the 2016 season 2-1 over the UConn Huskies
• East Carolina won the series 2-1 over the Tigers a season ago in Memphis.

Against UConn on March 25, the Memphis Tigers were kept off of the scoreboard for the first time this season. The 36 games before being shut out is the longest stretch to open a season without being shut out in program history.

Junior outfielder Hannah Harrell has 19 stolen bases this season, and 41 over her career, which puts her in second in a career in school history.
Additionally, her 19 stolen bases this season are tied for the most in the single-season record books. Teammate Kyler Trosclair stands eighth in a season in school history with 15 this season.

As a team, Memphis' eight stolen bases against Buffalo on March 11, set a new school record, passing the previous record of seven set three different times.

The Memphis Tigers have 15 underclassmen on its 2016 roster, which is tied for the highest total in NCAA Division I this season, and the 71 percent of the team being underclassmen is the highest percentage in the country Below is the list of the schools with the highest percentage of underclassmen on the roster.
