Women’s Golf Fifth After Day One at The Fall Invitational

BRASELTON, Ga. – The University of Memphis women's golf team carded a first round 286 and a second round 292 and is currently fifth through two rounds of The Fall Invitational. Memphis trails Chattanooga (564), Middle Tennessee (566), Ole Miss (569) and East Tennessee State (576).

Sophomore Emily Goldenstein is tied for sixth after posting a first round 68 and a second round 74. Teammate Leighann Cabush carded a 70-73 for a two-round total of 143 and is currently tied for 14^th. Sophomore Megan Beane followed up a first round 74 with a second round 72 and will start the third round Tuesday tied for 23^rd overall.

Senior Ashleigh Whisenant posted 74-75 for a 149, which will send her to day two tied for 32^nd overall.
Freshman Madison Thomas bounced back from a first round 81 with a second round 73 to move to a tie for 50^th overall.

The teams will go off at 8 a.m. (ET), Tuesday from a shotgun start.
