Tigers Sit Fourth After Day Two of Golfweek Challenge; Khamphueng Tied for Third

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The University of Memphis women's golf team sits in fourth place following Monday's second round at the Golfweek Challenge at Caledonia Golf Club.
The Tigers carded a 6-over-par 290 on Monday for a two-day total of 4-over-par 572. The 572 ties for the second-lowest 36-hole score in program history, matching a mark last set at the 2023 Little Rock Golf Classic.
Senior Nutsanun Khamphueng led Memphis with a 2-under-par 69 to move into a tie for third place individually. Her 36-hole total of 4-under-par 140 ties for the fifth-lowest two-round score in program history, last achieved by Emily Wilson at the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate.
Maddie Smith follows tied for 14th after shooting a 5-over-par 76 to bring her total to 1-over-par 143. Pavarisa Jongpipittaporn shot a 3-over-par 74 to sit tied for 34th at 4-over-par 146, while Sirichaya Chanpen posted a 5-over-par 76 to place tied for 50th at 6-over-par 148. Claire Todd rounded out the lineup with an even-par 71, rebounding to tie for 102nd at 15-over-par 157.
Memphis returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 8, for the third and final round. Tee times begin at 8:20 a.m. CT.
