• The game was postponed after an hour rain delay on Friday. The two teams were in the bottom of the third with Red Raiders on first and second with nobody out and Devin Zaragoza at bat with a 3-1 count when the game was delayed.
• Freshman Maddie McKinley made her first collegiate appearance in the third inning, pinch running for Melissa Nance.
• Redshirt-freshman Heather Mott knocked in her third RBI of the season with a single to the left side that scored senior Lindsay Kelso. The run is Kelso's third of the season.
• Senior Melissa Nance brought in her first RBI of the season in the first inning on a bases loaded hit batter. It brought in junior Kimmi Hayden for her second run of the season.
• Freshman Kim Sirman walked with the bases loaded in the first inning for her first career RBI. The walk scored Heather Mott for her team-leading fourth run of the season.
• Sophomore Leigh Rowan scored her third run of the season on a wild pitch in the first inning.
• The Tigers faced a tough situation coming back the next day with two runners on, no outs and a 3-1 count to the batter. But freshman Janelle Valle fired a first pitch strike that was lined to Heather Mott at shortstop who turned a double play by tagging the runner at second.
• Leila Dolfo had her first multi-hit game of the season. Dolfo finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and a walk.
• Junior Leandra Hines knocked in her first RBI of the season in the fourth inning on a single up the middle. The hit scored Leila Dolfo for her third run of the season and gave Memphis a 5-0 lead.
• Leandra Hines had her second multi-hit game of the season. Hines finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base.
• Junior catcher Kimmi Hayden had her first multi-hit game of the season. She finished 2-for-4 with two singles and a run scored.
• Freshman Janelle Valle became the first Memphis pitcher to throw a complete game. Valle pitched all seven innings and allowed just one earned run on five hits for her second victory.
• The meeting with Texas Tech is the first in the Memphis softball program's history.
