MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Freshman Taylor Caton made sure to send the Tigers' senior class off with a win with a walk-off two-run home run to complete a three-run comeback victory for the Tigers on Senior Day at Tigers Softball Complex.

In what could have been a common situation of errors spelling disaster for Memphis (18-35, 6-18 American), the Tigers pulled off a rally with two outs in the seventh inning to take the series finale over Florida Atlantic (31-18, 12-12 American).

HOW IT HAPPENED

Both sides worked out of early trouble to stay scoreless through the first.
- Memphis turned a double play in the top half after a throw back to third on a flyout confirmed Florida Atlantic's runner leaving early.
- The Owls worked past a one-out double by retiring Memphis' third and fourth hitters.
After a clean second inning, Kennedy Semien led off the third with a triple and came home on a sacrifice fly by Kayla Clement to give Memphis a narrow lead.
- The sacrifice fly forced a Florida Atlantic pitching change.
Two runs came across for Florida Atlantic in the fourth due in part to a Memphis throwing error on a walk and stolen base attempt.
Memphis left the bases loaded in the bottom half of the fourth after Deana Cunningham and Paris Brienesse walked and Jasmine Mack singled to left field.
A double steal with another Memphis throwing error led to the Owls' third run of the game coming home.
Avery Stutts worked through her second and third innings in the circle with a pair of strikeouts in the sixth and stranding a runner on third to end the top of the seventh.
Down to its final outs, Memphis put together an improbable three-run seventh inning to walk it off.
- Neely Taylor roped a one-out double off the base of the wall in left field.
- Ariel Davis sent a chopper up the middle to bring Taylor in to cut the deficit to one.
- After a Faith Brown strikeout, Taylor Caton stepped up to the plate and sent an elevated pitch over the left-field wall for a walk-off, two-run home run to secure the game for the Tigers.

Today's contest marks Memphis' first program win against Florida Atlantic.
- The Tigers were previously 0-9 going into the series finale.

Taylor Caton was 1-for-4 at the plate with a walk-off two-run home run, the first walk-off hit of her career.
Ariel Davis finished the weekend with a third multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.
