Head coach Cheri Lindsay has named Darcie Kaiser as an assistant coach and director of volleyball operations in February of 2025.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have Darcie join me on the coaching staff here at the University of Memphis,” said Lindsay. “Having worked with her at Prairie View A&M and East Central, I know firsthand the passion, knowledge and energy she brings to the game. She will be an incredible asset to our program and I cannot wait to continue this journey with her.”
KAISER’S RESUME
Kaiser joins the Tigers after spending two seasons as an assistant coach on Lindsay’s staff at Prairie View A&M.
“I am so thankful for this opportunity to represent the University of Memphis and its volleyball program,” Kaiser said. “I am excited to continue to work with Coach Lindsay and staff to bring success into the program. I look forward to developing relationships with the school and community.”
She helped the Lady Panthers reach the semifinals of the Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC) tournament in 2023, and the quarterfinals in 2024. With guidance from Kaiser, Kylee Owens, Janyah Henderson and Leah Lawson were all named to the SWAC All-Conference teams. Owens was also named SWAC Player of the Year in 2024 while also being an honorable mention on the AVCA All-American and All-Southwest Region teams. In addition, Henderson was named SWAC Freshman of the Year during Kaiser’s first season as an assistant coach.
Kaiser’s coaching career began as a graduate assistant coach on Lindsay’s staff at East Central University in 2022, where she helped the Tigers reach the quarterfinals of the Great American Conference (GAC) tournament, reaching 15 wins for the second year in a row and tying the program record for wins in a season.
Prior to joining the East Central University staff, Kaiser played two seasons for Lindsay as an outside hitter and defensive specialist with the Tigers. In Kaiser’s senior season with the Tigers, she helped East Central University reach a program-record 15 wins. In her time as a Tiger, she was named to the D2ADA and GAC All-Academic teams. Her playing career also includes two seasons at Sheridan Community College, where she was a two-time captain and led the Generals in kills during the 2019 season.
A Denver, Colo., native, Lindsay earned a bachelor’s degree in communications studies from Prairie View A&M University in 2011, a Master’s in Business Administration from Tiffin University in 2013 and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Sports Psychology from Prairie View A&M University.
An Eaton, Colo. native, Kaiser holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in sports administration, both from East Central University.
