2017 (Sophomore):
Started 19 of the 20 games she played in … led the team in points with 26, coming from 10 goals and six assists … her 10 goals on the year are tied for fifth among sophomores in program history … had two multi-goal efforts, scoring twice in the 6-0 victory over Rhode Island (9/1) and in the 3-1 victory against UConn (11/1) … converted all three penalty kicks she took … her six assists were third on the team … recorded a season-high three assists against UConn (10/8), and had two against SMU (9/21) … was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll twice (9/11 and 9/25).
2016 (Freshman):
Morton played in 19 games as a freshman, coming off the bench in all of them … found the back of the net twice, scoring against UT Martin (9/18) and Tulsa (10/14) … the two goals were her only points of the season.
Prior to Memphis:
Played as a striker for Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School … multi-sport high school athlete, competing in volleyball, badminton, tennis, basketball and beach volleyball … played club soccer for the Darlington Fusion, where she won a provincial championship … also spent time with the Woodbridge Strikers … with the Fusion, Morton led the league in scoring from 2009-14 … she is a four-time Honor Roll honoree.
Personal:
Morton is the daughter of Sandy and Dean Morton, a former NHL player and current NHL referee … hobbies include snowboarding, watersports, biking and guitar … favorite forms of recreation are playing beach volleyball and pick up soccer ... a psychology major.
