OXFORD, Miss. – Memphis sprinter Ivory Davis led the way for the Tigers at the Joe Walker Invitational on April 3-4, posting two top-four finishes behind personal bests in the 200 meters and the 400-meter hurdles.
The senior won her heat in the 200 meters on Friday afternoon in 24.04 seconds and followed it up with a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles through windy conditions on Saturday. Vincent Chenier also shined on Friday evening, finishing one second shy of the school record in the 1500 meters behind a second-place finish in 3:43.79 seconds.
While the Joey Haines Invitational in Missouri was canceled due to weather, four Tigers had top-five finishes in Oxford, including Logan Weis (men's 1500 meters) and Jaida Williams-Goins (women's 100-meter hurdles). Full results can be found at the link above.
