Jordan Signs Cottriel and Smith to 2026 Roster

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis women's golf coach Jennifer Jordan has announced the signing of two athletes for the 2026 season in Hazel Cottriel and Maddie Smith.
Cottriel, the sister of current golf student-athletes Malia Cottriel, comes to Memphis from Costa Mesa, Calif. where she won the 2024 Future Champions Collegiate Winter Championship and the Future Champions SoCal Championship. Cottriel also claimed the title at the 2023 San Diego Junior Golf Charlie Hoffman Championship as well as at the 2022 AJGA Mahoning Valley Hospital Championship.
Cottriel is a four-time USKids Regional Champion, winning two in Monterey, one in Palm Springs and one in Arizona.
Smith comes to Memphis from Westford Academy where she has a slew of awards in her stat line. Smith claimed the titles at the New England Women's AM, the New England Girls Junior, the New England High School Girls Junior and the Massachusetts Girls Junior – all this year. Smith was also named as the runner-up at The Ouimet and qualified for the 2025 PGA Junior Championship as well as the 2026 USGA Girls Junior following her victory at the Massachusetts Girls Junior.
