Tigers in Third Place, Swathwood Tied for Third Following Day One of Lady Red Wolves Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. – The University of Memphis women's golf team had a solid outing on day one of the Lady Red Wolves Classic, sitting in third place for teams while Claire Swathwood fights for third place in individual play.
Memphis, who shot one under par for both rounds, is just three strokes behind Little Rock, who is currently in second place.
Swathwood, who tore up the course today with 69 and 70 scores, respectively, goes into tomorrow's final round five under par and in a share of third place. Emily Wilson is not far behind Swathwood at one under par for the tournament while Pavarisa Jongpipittaporn and Tilly Garfoot go into tomorrow's round at two and four over par, respectively. Rounding out the team is Claire Todd at 11 over par.
Playing as individuals, Malia Cottriel finished the day four over par while Nicole Strydom and Nutsanun Khamphueng go into tomorrow eight and 12 over par, respectively.
