Tigers Are Back at Home to Host East Carolina and North Texas

Memphis, Tenn. – The University of Memphis volleyball team will be back at the Larry O. Finch Center playing East Carolina on Friday at 6 p.m. and North Texas on Sunday at 12 p.m. Both matches will be available to stream on ESPN+.
The Tigers are looking to get back in the win column after dropping both games last weekend.
Memphis has accumulated 1,006 kills this season, led by Hannah Jones with 244 so far. Tiffany Snook follows behind with 161, while Clara Bednarek has tallied 156.
Memphis averages 11.71 assists per set, led by Jordan Heatherly, who has recorded 745 assists on the season. Heatherly has also tallied 36 aces and is second in the AAC. Memphis leads the conference averaging 1.90 aces per set.
Defensively, Abigail Schlueter leads Memphis with 4.01 digs per set, placing her third in the AAC. Schlueter has 337 digs on the season. Bednarek and Snook both had a huge presence at the net, getting their hands on 18 block touches this past weekend.
East Carolina (14-6, 7-3) is coming off a 3-0 sweep over Florida Atlantic and is on a four-game win streak. The Pirates are led by pin hitters Fran McBride with 202 kills, Angeles Alderete with 191, and Ellie Pate with 183 kills. McBride was named Honorable Mention on the AAC weekly awards, averaging 4.35 points per set with 22 kills.
North Texas (8-13, 5-5) is coming into the weekend off a 3-1 loss to Tulane. The Mean Green are led by Outside Hitter Aryn Johnson with 230 kills and 162 digs. As a team, North Texas leads the conference in hitting percentage with .242.
