Jack Tanner Ties for Second in Men’s Golf Season Opener

Grand Haven, Mich. – Memphis men's golf opened their season this week at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Mich. The Tigers finished tied for sixth overall in the three-day tournament.

Senior Jack Tanner finished tied for second, a career high, with a total of 213 strokes over three rounds. Tanner has boasted two top-five finishes in his two seasons with Memphis.

Key Moments

Tanner played well all three rounds for the Tigers, carding rounds of 70-74-69 to finish tied for second.
Senior Estaban Vazquez finished in a top-15 placing, carding rounds of 68-75-73, tying for 12^th.
Junior Andrew Baucum and senior James Morgan ended with top-50 finishes with scores of 221 and 225.
Junior Adam Coull rounded out the Tigers, with a final stroke count of 229, finishing tied for 63^rd.
