Wang Dubbed American Conference Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Memphis junior Yixiang Wang was named the American Conference's Men's Golf Player of the Week on Thursday afternoon.

Wang was a pillar of consistency at Colonial Country Club last Monday and Tuesday, logging rounds of 68-69-69 to place second at 3-under, his third top-two finish and fifth top-five placement of the season.

The Dalian, China, native posted just three bogeys all week to help the Tigers win the Memphis Intercollegiate: Spirited by Old Dominick. It's the second conference honor of the season for the junior, who also received Player of the Month for October 2025.

Wang and the rest of the Tigers will conclude the regular season with the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Mississippi, on April 13 and 14.
