Tigers Pick Up Win in Series Final Against ECU
Apr 16, 2023 | Softball
GREENVILLE. N.C. – The Memphis softball team picked up their second conference win on Sunday afternoon as they beat ECU 6-3. The Tigers (8-34) capitalized on hitting and bringing in runners on base, along with providing quality pitching throughout.
"Really proud of the team today, I think they came back and fought for this win. I got onto them on Friday and Saturday, they were competing, but we just feel short especially with better pitches in big situations, and that's what we needed," head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro said. "I'm really proud of how they bounced back and how we prepared and stuck with our plans. I really hope that this continues to build, and we keep going up."
