Mar 16, 2023 | Men's Track and Field, Women's Track and Field
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis track and field throwers are getting ready to kick off outdoor season this weekend at the Harding Invitational in Searcy, Ark., on Friday and Saturday.
"We are highly motivated to kick off the outdoor season," head coach Kevin Robinson said. "We are definitely a better outdoor team than we are indoor. We're looking forward to some favorable weather soon so we can really start putting some pieces together. This first meet is an opportunity for the throws group to throw the javelin, discus and hammer for the first time. Should be fun."
The two-day competition will begin on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and resume Saturday at 11:30 a.m. For the weekend, only Tigers throwers will be competing.
