Tigers Travel to TCU for Fight in the Fort

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis volleyball travels to TCU for the Fight in the Fort tournament this weekend. They will face Texas A&M on Friday before playing host team TCU and Coastal Carolina on Saturday.

The Tigers are coming off a 3-1 weekend hosting the Tiger Brawl tournament where the defeated Nicholls, Eastern Washington and Southern.
Junior libero Bailey Houlihan extended her streak to 184 sets played and leads the Tigers with 68 digs last weekend. Â New addition and JUCO First Team All-America Jasmyn Tate was a standout for Memphis, leading the team in kills (48) and tied for the most service ace (6). Tate is also top five on the team in digs (33) and blocks (7.0). Â

Friday's match against Texas A&M is set for 5 pm CT. On Saturday, they will play TCU at 10 am before going against Coastal Carolina at 1:30 CT.

Texas A&M and TCU both played loaded schedules opening weekend with the Aggies falling to #25 San Diego and #6 Pittsburgh while TCU dropped matches against #2 Wisconsin and #7 Minnesota.

Memphis's final opponent of the two-day tournament, Coastal Carolina is coming of a 3-0 opening weekend with wins against Davidson, Virginia Tech and UNCW.

The Tigers return to Finch Center next weekend to host Queen, Oakland and Illinois State for the Beal Street Challenge. Â
