How it happened:
- After Memphis held the Bulls to two hitless innings to open the game, USF got a solo homerun from Dez Maldonado to put the Tigers down 1-0 in the top of the third.
- Alyssa Dean would outrun a throw to first base in the bottom of the fourth while Camryn Wineinger reached on a Bulls error to put Dean in scoring position. But, South Florida's Corrick would strikeout the next three batters to strand the runners.
- The duo of Dean and Wineinger would strike again in the bottom of the sixth inning; after Dean drew a walk, Wineinger hit into a fielder's choice that advanced Dean over to second base. But, it was Corrick again who struck out the third out of the inning to hold Memphis scoreless.
- Back-to-back runs from the Bulls in the top of the seventh would extend their lead out to 3-0, but the Tigers were unable to send any players across home plate and suffer the 3-0 loss.
- Along with Dean, Linsey Hargis recorded a hit today.
- Kailey Hilderbrand got the start today going 3.2 innings with just three hits allowed. Hallie Siems finished the remaining 3.1 innings of work with one strikeout.
- Memphis celebrated Senior Day today prior to first pitch to honor the careers of Ryleigh Aungst, Hannah Bassham, Kailey Hilderbrand, Anna Grace Magee and Gracie Morton.
