WEST POINT, Miss. – The University of Memphis men's golf team began play at the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Miss. on Monday, tying for ninth place after the first round with a score of 295 (+7).

No. 3-ranked Vanderbilt leads the 19-team field with a score of 280 (-8) at the Mossy Oak Golf Club.
