Jaidi earns honorable mention All-America honors at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Memphis field athlete Mona Jaidi earned honorable mention All-America honors for her performance in the women's javelin competition at the 2021 NCAA Track & Field Championships.
 
Jaidi placed 22nd with her 49.27m (161-7.0) throw at Hayward Field Thursday night. She originally qualified for the championships at the NCAA East Preliminary with a mark of 50.86m.
 
Jaidi was also the winner of the American Athletic Conference's 2021 Women's Most Outstanding Field Performance award, which she earned after finishing first at the conference championships (54.65m, 179-3.0).
 
The 2021 track & field outdoor season will conclude after championship events end Saturday night.
