DeeNia McMiller to compete in NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships
Mar 09, 2021 | Women's Track and Field
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis track and field's DeeNia McMiller is slated to compete in the women's weight throw at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships Thursday at the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
This will mark her second year qualifying for the championships, yet her first time actually competing because of last year's cancellation due to COVID-19.
McMiller's preliminary will begin at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, with the finals immediately following.
McMiller, a graduate student from Kansas City, Mo., has had continued success, breaking school records in the women's weight throw. She most recently broke her own record at the Samford Invitational last month with her 22.77m throw. This mark places her fourth nationally.
