Memphis women’s golf set to compete in Florida State Match-Up this weekend

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – After nearly a month-long break from tournament action, the Memphis Tigers women's golf team heads to Tallahassee, Fla., for the eighth annual Florida State Match-Up this Friday through Sunday.
Played at the par-72, 6255-yard Seminole Legacy Golf Course, the three-round event is considered to be one of the top early-season tournaments in women's collegiate golf. The 14-team field includes No. 8 Florida State, No. 12 Kent State, No. 24 Michigan State, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville, Kansas State, Mercer, Missouri, Ohio State and USF.
Brooke Veres will play in the No. 1 position followed by Victoria England, Rebecca Brink, Abby Herrmann and Julia Matzat.
In their first tournament of the season earlier this month, the Tigers placed two players in the top-35 as part of a 13th-place finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas. Ana Dawson and Brooke Veres finished at 14-over, tied for 35th.
The Tigers finished with a 317-307-307—932 total.
