Tigers Finish in Fifth Place, Garfoot Claims Share of Second Place at Diamante Intercollegiate

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. - The University of Memphis women's golf team finished up its fall season with a fifth-place finish at the Diamante Intercollegiate while Tilly Garfoot claimed a share of second place in individual play.

Memphis, who finished four over par in round three, struggled on the front nine today with nine bogies. On the back side of the course, the team answered with eight birdies, including an eagle from Garfoot on hole 11 – her second eagle on that hole over the tournament.

Garfoot put on another show today finishing the round with a score of 70 and eight under par for the tournament. Her 208 (-8) finish ties her career best score and placing after scoring the same at the Lady Red Wolves Classic and earning runner-up honors.

Claire Swathwood finished in a tie for eighth place after finishing two under par for the weekend. Pavaria Jongpipittaporn ended at six over par while Claire Todd was 12 over par.
