Memphis women’s golf finishes 10th at Florida State Match-Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Memphis women's golf finished 10th with a three-day total of 312-300-306—918 in the eighth annual Florida State Match-Up at the Seminole Legacy Course on Sunday.
Abby Hermann, who started in the No. 4 position for the Tigers, tied for 18th with an 8-over 76-72-76—224 while Brooke Veres tied for 40th with a 78-75-79—232. Rebecca Brink tied for 44th at 79-77-77—233 followed by Julia Matzat in a tie for 59th at 79-76-82—237 and Victoria England in a tie for 65th at 82-86-74—242.
No. 8 Florida State had a 9-under 855 to win the team title by 19 shots over No. 12 Kent State (892). No. 24 Michigan finished third at 896 ahead of Clemson (897), Ohio State (905), Mercer (906), Kansas State (910), Minnesota (912), South Florida (913) and Memphis (918) to round out the top 10.
Coastal Carolina finished 11th with a 919 followed by Missouri (924), Notre Dame (934) and Jacksonville (914).
Florida State's Beatrice Wallin won medalist honors with a 12-under 66-68-70—204, 13 shots ahead of Florida State's Amelia Williamson and Charlotte Heath, who tied for second.
Memphis returns to action at the Valspar Augusta Invitational in Augusta, Ga., March 13-14.
