Tigers seek first road win at SMU since 2012
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The UofM women's basketball team travels to Dallas, Texas for its last road game of the season to take on SMU. Tip-off against the Mustangs is set for 2 p.m. at Moody Coliseum.

The Tigers end the road portion of their schedule following a tough 59-57 loss at the hands of the Houston Cougars. Jamirah Shutes scored 20 points for the fifth time this season while setting a career-high with eight rebounds. Shutes was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week for the second time this season for her performances for the past week. Â

Shutes, who has the most 20-point games among AAC freshmen, tops the roster scoring 14.0 points per game. Shutes ranks seventh in The American and first among freshmen. Her free throw percentage is 67.9 percent, the 14th-highest in the conference and second among freshmen. Defensively, Shutes ranks 10th in the AAC in steals, snagging 1.4 per contest, a number that leads the freshman class. She tied a career-high against Houston with four steals.

Alana Davis chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds against Houston. Davis is second on the team in scoring, netting 12.3 points per game, which ranks 14th in The American. The leading rebounder for the Tigers, Davis grabs 8.1 rebounds per game, the fourth-highest average in the conference. Â
