American Conference Scheduling Matrix Announced for 2026-27 Season

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference announced its conference scheduling matrix ahead of the 2026-27 season Friday morning.
Head Coach Hana Haden's first season at the helm will feature an 18-game conference slate, including home-and-home games against UAB, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State.
The Tigers will host North Texas, Temple and UTSA at Elma Roane Fieldhouse in single games in conference play, with a trio of road games at East Carolina, Rice and South Florida.
American Conference play begins Wednesday, December 30, 2026, and runs through Saturday, March 6, 2027.
Official dates and tipoff times for all American Conference contests will be announced at a later date.
Coach Haden's first season in Memphis looks to be an exciting one with a mix of new and returning pieces. Back from last season's team are 2025-26 American Conference All-Newcomer and All-Defensive Team selection Daejah Richmond, along with 2024-25 American Conference All-Freshman teamer Tamya Smith.
New pieces to the team include Memphis native Tierney Kelsey (15.6 ppg at Indiana State in 2025-26), a Tiger returning to Memphis for her final season in Destiny Thomas and Anjanae Richardson, who earned back-to-back All-MEAC honors, including finishing the 2025-26 season as a MEAC All-Defensive, All-Tournament and First Team performer.
