MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team returns to conference play this weekend with a trip to Orlando to take on UCF in a three-game series. The teams will play one game on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with Friday's contest beginning at 4:30 p.m. CT.

UCF is coming off of a 5-3 win at North Florida Wednesday evening to improve to 27-15 on the year. The Knights are 6-3 in American Athletic Conference play.
Last weekend, UCF fell in two of three games to UConn on the road. The only other league setback was at Houston on March 31.
Prior to the UConn series, UCF defeated No. 4 Florida at home by a score of 1-0. The Knights have two ranked wins this year.
Offensively, the Knights are led by Denali Schappacher, Cassady Brewer, and Aubrey Johnson. These three players each carry batting averages over .330 with over 100 combined hits. Alea White paces UCF in the circle with 197.1 innings pitched and a 1.84 ERA. She has struck out 142 batters and allows just a .237 opponents' batting average.
UCF's 6-3 conference record is good enough for second in the league behind USF.
