North Florida took advantage of a Memphis error in the second inning to tie the game up. A two-out error was followed quickly by a two-run home run to make the score 2-2.
The Tigers blew the game open with a five-run third inning on six hits. The big inning was just the third frame this season that Memphis has scored four-plus runs.
