Tigers finish 12th at the Intercollegiate at The Grove

Isaiah Jackson paces the UofM with a three-day total of 223
COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – Freshman Landon Carner shot a 3-over 75 to pace the University of Memphis on the final day of the Intercollegiate at The Grove Tuesday at The Grove Club.
The Tigers, who opened the 54-hole event Sunday by shooting 9-over 297, closed with 22-over 310 Tuesday to finish 12th at 907. Liberty won the tournament with a three-day total of 849, which was 15 under par.
Liberty's Gabe Lench and Alexandre Fuchs shared medalist honors. Each shot 8-under 208 over 54 holes.
Memphis was playing in its third event of the fall season following a second-place finish at its home tournament – the Memphis Intercollegiate – and a 10th-place showing at the Windon Memorial outside Chicago. The Tigers resume the fall season with a trip to Vero Beach, Fla, next weekend to participate in the Quail Valley Collegiate.
Other Tigers competing in the final round of Tuesday's Intercollegiate at The Grove were Isaiah Jackson, who had a 78 for a three-day total of 7-over 223 to lead the UofM. He tied for 39th.
Bradley Bawden and Chase Harris followed with 225 totals. Freshman Landon Carner's three-day total was 234. Mikko Kauniskangas shot an 80 for 242.
