With the addition of Wichita State combined with a 16-game conference schedule, Cincinnati is one of the six league schools Memphis will play just one time this season. Along with the Bearcats, Memphis' road-only games are at Houston and at Temple.
Â
Memphis is coming off of a hard-fought setback to USF last Wednesday. Brea Elmore hit a three-pointer as time expired in the first half to give Memphis a 30-29 halftime lead, but a run to start the fourth quarter by No. 23 USF put the game out of reach of the Tigers. A win at Cincinnati will improve the Tigers back to .500 in conference play with a pair of home games coming up next week.
Â

Entering into Sunday's game against Cincinnati, here are some tidbits to know about the Memphis women's basketball team:
Â
- Brea Elmore continues her strong play into the conference season. Elmore added 16 points against USF and put herself just 123 points shy of 1,000 career points. If she maintains the pace she is on, she would become the 25th member of the Memphis 1,000-point club.
- Elmore has also cracked the top-10 all-time three-pointers list with 111. Taylor Williams previously held the 10th spot and claimed it during her senior year in 2016-17.
- Taylor Barnes scored a season-high and team-high 18 points against USF. She is averaging a career-high 8.4 points per game during her sophomore campaign. She's also one of three players to have started in all 18 games to-date.
- Memphis currently sits in sole possession of seventh place in the American Athletic Conference, a half of a game behind Wichita State.
- A Memphis victory would improve the Tigers to 8-11 on the year and 3-3 in American Athletic Conference play. A win for the Tigers will also snap a two-game skid against Cincinnati. All-time, however, Memphis holds a 35-16 advantage.
