Memphis wins the doubles point with wins at 2 and 3.

MEMPHIS – Memphis won the doubles point in the final regular season match of the season, but could not pull off the road win, falling 4-1 at Cincinnati, Saturday.

Cincinnati won the first match at one, 6-1, and the Memphis team of Marta Morga and Katherine Cao tied it up with a 6-4 win at two. That came left Germans Hanna Sohn and Clara Kuehn on the court at three doubles. The tandem grabbed a 7-5 win for an early 1-0 lead in the match.

The Bearcats tied the match up with a win at five and took a 2-1 lead off a 6-2, 6-2 win at two singles. The home team then used a 6-1, 6-3 win at one singles and closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at six.

Memphis will now have an off weekend before travelling to Orlando for the American Athletic Conference Championships, Apr. 19-22^nd at the new USTA National Campus.
